Avenida de Valencia 50: inside Zaragoza's extranjería police office

If your confirmation says Avda. de Valencia n.º 50, your appointment is with the Brigada Provincial de Extranjería y Fronteras. Here is what that office takes care of, what it sends elsewhere, and how to plan the trip without guessing.

  • Brigada de Extranjería
  • Comisaría Delicias

01One address, two police services

The city council's directory lists the same address, Avenida de Valencia 50, as the Comisaría de Distrito Zaragoza Delicias, with its own phone number, 976 791 486. The foreigners' procedures fall to another unit at the same address, the Brigada Provincial de Extranjería y Fronteras, on 976 791 495 according to its policia.es listing. At the door, say you have an extranjería appointment.

02Done at number 50

  • Asignación de NIE and NIE certificates
  • Certificado de registro UE for EU, EEA and Swiss citizens
  • Huellas TIE Zaragoza: the fingerprints, then the card itself
  • Autorizaciones de regreso
  • Student stays and their prórrogas
  • Non-lucrative residence, asylum, travel documents and cédulas

03Done nearby: the Oficina de Extranjería

Work and residence authorisations, family reunification, arraigo and the card for relatives of EU citizens belong to the Oficina de Extranjería that the Delegación del Gobierno runs on Calle Obispo Covarrubias s/n. Its address shares the 50005 postcode with number 50, which makes the two easy to mix up: check which one your confirmation names before you set off.

04Planning the trip

The council's page for the address links to a route planner but names no line. Its open-data list of urban bus stops has stops named after numbers 38 and 41 of the same avenue, served by lines 35, 38 and 41 (and N4 at number 38), plus a Tomás Bretón / Av. de Valencia stop for lines 22, 24 and Ci3. None is named after number 50 and no official page says which is closest, nor ties a tram stop to the office: run the route planner from where you start.

  • The cita previa confirmation, printed
  • Passport or EU identity card, plus copies
  • The form of your procedure, signed
  • The Modelo 790-012, paid
  • The evidence behind your request
