01Who owns which link
- Employer: files the work and residence authorisation in Spain
- Oficina de Extranjería: decides on it
- You: request the visa at the Spanish consulate once it is granted
- You again: enter Spain and reserve the toma de huellas for the TIE
- Employer: registers you with social security before your first day
02Our part
The authorisation belongs to your employer, usually through HR or an outside adviser. We take care of your end: the documents you must supply, a checklist for the visa appointment, and everything in Zaragoza once you land, fingerprints and padrón included.
03Logistics and industry roles
Warehouse management, maintenance, engineering and transport planning posts around Zaragoza attract applicants from many countries. Big employers tend to know the procedure inside out; smaller subcontractors, less so. Either way, arriving with your own folder in order pays: passport, visa, contract, appointment confirmation.
04Landing checklist
- Passport carrying the work visa
- Signed contract or offer
- Cita previa for the toma de huellas
- EX-17, and the fee slip paid
- Padrón at your Zaragoza address
- A bank account for wages

Questions
Normally not. Authorisation for someone abroad is requested before travel, with the visa coming after. Separate routes exist for people already resident, each with its own conditions.
Not as a separate step: it is usually assigned while the authorisation is processed, so most workers find it already printed on their paperwork.
Family reunification is its own procedure at the Oficina de Extranjería. The page on moving as a family sets out the order.
